Board of Directors

The Special Operations Fund Board of Directors consists of recipients, former Special Mission Unit members/commanders and leaders from a cross-section of the business and finance communities. Our members are acutely aware that our "customers" are the families of our Special Mission Units. In addition to exercising their fiduciary responsibility for funds entrusted to us for the benefit of those families, contributions from our Board pay all the Fund's non-program expenses ensuring all donations from those supporting our mission go directly to our recipients. Interaction between our Board and the units we support assures we can react as new needs arise. Susan Grant served as the Executive Director since our founding in 1992. After 31 years, Susan retired in June 2023 and Becki Chambers assumed the title Executive Director. She will be assisted by Heather Majuri. Each has more than 25 years of working with the special ops community as both a spouse and a volunteer
