SUPPORT & EVENTS

Throughout the years our annual seminars have provided an opportunity to build a bridge between civilians and military leaders. Our staff and leadership operate quietly and discretely, much like the community we serve.

Preschool Scholarships

In 2018, the Fund established a scholarship to provide tuition assistance for preschool programs.

Phillips Exeter Academy Summer School Scholarship

Approximately $10,000 in tuition is provided by the SOFund to qualifying high school rising sophomores and juniors to attend this life-changing experience at Exeter.

Tuition Assistance

Since its inception in 1992 to date, the Special Operations Fund has granted over $18+ million in scholarships and financial assistance.

Learning Ability Testing

In 2017 the Special Operations Fund partnered with a local military unit to provide learning ability testing not covered by government medical insurance.

CAPT Rick Woolard Scholarship

Established in 2018 in recognition of President Emeritus SEAL Captain Rick Woolard’s concern that unmarried fallen special mission unit warriors be remembered.

Merit Scholarships

Since 2004 various merit-based scholarships were established.

Four-Star Rating Charity Organization

The Special Operations Fund is proud to announce that we have earned an overall Encompass rating from Charity Navigator of 96%, which has earned us the status of a Four-Star rated organization from Charity Navigator.  This rating provides a symbol of confidence to our donors that you are making a direct impact to our mission of providing education benefits to family members of those who were killed in action or killed in training while serving with various joint special mission units.
